Trang Pride

Trang Pride is an annual initiative promoting gender equality, human rights, and the acceptance of gender diversity in Trang Province, Thailand. Now celebrating its third consecutive year, the event is led by Payoon Sri-Trang Group, Trang Province, which plays a central role in initiating, planning, driving, and coordinating the event in collaboration with government agencies, the private sector, civil society organizations, and local LGBTQIAN+ networks. Beyond organizing activities, Payoon Sri-Trang Group serves as a key driving force in bringing gender diversity issues to the forefront of public discussion and creating inclusive spaces where community voices can be heard, respected, and valued.

The theme of Trang Pride 2026, “Respect Identity, Respect Humanity,” emphasizes that everyone deserves equal dignity and worth, regardless of gender, gender identity, or gender expression. The event focuses on fostering understanding and reducing prejudice, stigma, and discrimination through pride parades, panel discussions, awareness-raising activities, and opportunities for LGBTQIAN+ communities and the wider public to learn from one another. Through these activities, Trang Pride aims to help build a more inclusive society in Trang Province—one that embraces differences, respects diversity, and enables everyone to live together with equality and mutual understanding.

As the initiator and driving leader of Trang Pride, Jedsadaporn Thongngam, in the capacity of President of Payoon Sri-Trang Group, plays a key role in shaping the event’s vision and direction, coordinating partner networks, planning activities, encouraging community participation, and strengthening collaboration to advance the rights and well-being of LGBTQIAN+ people. This work connects public awareness campaigns with access to inclusive healthcare, equal access to services, and the protection of human rights. The ultimate goal is to make Trang Pride more than a celebration: it is a platform for sustained social change, helping create a society where everyone can live with dignity and safety, enjoy equal rights, and be included without leaving anyone behind.
